Library Media Center

The CPS community makes extensive and diverse use of our library facilities in both campuses. These libraries have evolved from traditional libraries into Information Commons.  Each day we are participants and collaborators of a dynamic workspace where the latest technology, databases, multi-formatted resources, share knowledge and skills for the benefit of our own educational community and beyond. Although an Information Commons provides ongoing development for learning, teaching, and production processes, the major infrastructure and paradigm changes have been completed, after years of research and planning.

CPS is committed to lifelong learning and provides the resources and support to achieve this goal. It heavily invests in resources including databases to provide students and teachers alike, with the research tools needed to enhance learning. Although search engines are helpful for general information, databases provide current, authoritative and credible collections of information in an organized format. The following databases and electronic catalogs provide educational resources to any member of our community, any time, anywhere.
