The Arts

On stage or at an easel, with a guitar or with a brush, visual and performing arts are an integral part of a CPS education. Students are exposed to the arts at all ages encouraging creativity and a mean of self-expression. Our goal is to develop all students’ appreciation and talents. 

The Fine Arts Department is a structured discipline-based program where classes are designed to stimulate the individual development of technical and cognitive skills. Through critical thinking and performance, students approach their immediate surroundings with an inquisitive approach. Courses are provided in a studio environment enabling students to engage with discipline­-related subject matter including appreciation, history and workshop experiences.
