CURRENT SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
CPS currently offers several full and partial scholarships, all of which have been awarded — with the exception of the Merino Family Scholarship. This scholarship, established in February 2025, will be awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year. We are now accepting candidates for the Merino Family Scholarship; please see the details below. As additional scholarships become available, we will update this section accordingly.
BACKGROUND
The Commonwealth - Parkville School (CPS) Scholarship Program aims to attract new students in grades 7-9 who have talents and abilities in academics, the arts, sports and/or citizenship. The Program, founded in 1996 by the CPS Board of Directors, was established along with the CPS Golf Scholarship Tournament. The net proceeds of the tournament were earmarked to aid qualified and motivated students. These students' talents would contribute to the overall diversity and expertise of the student body.

In 2003, CPS created a Permanent Endowment Scholarship Fund. The gifts to the Endowment Fund were invested long-term with the Fund’s principal restricted and not to be expended into perpetuity. The steady growth of the Fund over the years has allowed awarding several full scholarships stemming from income earned from interest. The proceeds from these two sources, along with other resources derived from corporate solicitations, special fundraising initiatives, and individual contributions, are used to support the CPS Scholarship Fund.

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT
While CPS strives to provide support to as many students as possible, the number of scholarships awarded may be limited.  Candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements to apply. The total amount granted for the scholarship will extend throughout the student’s career at CPS, divided equally among the years the student is scheduled to attend. A scholarship recipient must continue to meet the conditions under which the scholarship was granted, including academic, leadership, and financial requirements.
